Grid System I use to record good artillery firing locations.

Updated: May 6, 2021

The system is adapted from the US Military. You pick any grid on the WOT MAP and starting from the lower left hand corner you go right and up. The WOT Grid system runs from A to K (Top to Bottom) in the left column and from 1 to 9 then 0 in the top column (Left to Right). First use the WOT Grid then Right and Up as outlined later. An Example of the WOT Grid system is show below.

Three points are shown below A, B, C with the grid reference given. As stated start from the lower left of the square then give of squares you go right and then give the number of squares you go up. Divide each square into 10 x 10 squares as shown below.. I have used decimals but you can use round numbers if you prefer. Point A is Right .2 UP .3 abbreviated as R .2 U.3. (or Right 2 UP 3/ R 2 U 3). Point B is Right .5 Up .5 ( R.5 U.5) . Point C is Right .8 Up .9 (R.8 U.9)

First you give the WOT Grid square then Right and Up from the lower left of the square. For example K1 R.2 U.3 (K1 Right .2 Up .3 - K1 R2 U3) (Point A in the K1 grid)

0/0 denotes the starting point in the lower left of the grid square.

Start Lower left then right and up.

0/0 denotes the starting point in the lower left of the grid square.

Start Lower left then right and up.

Right then Up

Point A is Right .2 UP .3 abbreviated as R .2 U.3. (or Right 2 UP 3/ R 2 U 3).

Point B is Right .5 Up .5 ( R.5 U.5) .

Point C is Right .8 Up .9 (R.8 U.9)
