To see the map, apply the settings as show below. Click on the General Tab, scroll down using the scroll bar until you see "Enable Expanded Minimap Features", Click on the Drop Down Areas and select Minimap

WOT TIERS. Ten Tiers, the tiers use Roman Numerals. Tier 1 - I, Tier 2 - II, Tier 3 - III. Tier 4 - IV, Tier 5 - V, Tier 6 - VI, Tier 7 - VII, Tier 8 - VIII, Tier 9 - IX, Tier 10 - X.
The South American (SA) server sometimes takes longer to get into a battle because it has fewer players on the server. If you are getting extremely long que times check which server you are in.
Some Tiers take longer to get into battle (1-3, and 9-10).
Server Change Times. Server change over times, scheduled maintenance, and updates seem to generally occur at 3 am Pacific Standard Time but can vary anywhere between 1 - 4 am PST. Some updates take longer. Many times you can get back on WOT about 30 minutes after shutdown.
Researching Tech Lines. You don't have to research all the equipment modules to open up the next tier, you only have to research those that are on the line to the next tier. Many times it is just one equipment module that needs to be researched, but it could be multiple equipment modules.
Use XP to grind out researching the vehicle, use free xp for equipment module upgrades when you buy a new vehicle, that way you are not playing totally stock. When you upgrade equipment you can immediately sell equipment you just upgraded from. If you see a checkmark instead of an amount of silver the equipment you are not using can be sold.

When you can spot in the open as Arty (Tanks too)
The vehicle is outside the Max View and Max Draw Range, supposedly you only have to be outside the Max View Range. Regardless if you are concealed you will be spotted if they are within your current view range and possibly the Max Draw range.
