Using a 3x5 Card or the Camera View Angle to Determine place to spot

Updated: Mar 5, 2021

1. Using a 3 x 5 Card to determine a place to spot

Place a 3x5 Card edge on the two white "X's" and using a water based Vis a Vis draw a line in either A0 or K0 based on which flag you are defending, note do not use a permanent marker. The Camera View line that extends from the vehicle can also be used. Somewhere along that line spot your vehicle. Note the white lines in A0 and B0, and J0 and K0.

2. Using the Camera View Angle determine a place to spot

Initially I would eye ball the location, trying to line up a shot with the bridge, but it would always be off just a bit and I would have to move (right, forward, left, right), then I used the 3 x5 Card Method, until I figured out I could use the camera view angle. While in Driver View Mode point the vehicle at the desired location then adjust the spotting by moving (right, left, forward, backward) until the line is lined up with the desired spot.

The Camera View Angle is the line running thru the Flag (in this case).

3. Using the Camera View Angle line up shots down a city street.

Here it is Ken. The Arty to the left in my opinion is to far left can be spotted from the 1 line, where that M10 is (F1). It is a main battle area generally at that location and where our tanks are is generally where the red tanks our, our tanks would be in G1 and Reds in F1. If you are to close to the hill mass in J1 you will not be able to shoot into F1 where the red tanks are located. They have removed trees on me before so it would not be a total surprise if they had removed those 2. I have gone to knock trees down on a map that I hide behind and they are gone lol.
